7:30 PM ~ The Ancient Wild
ancient-wild

The Ancient Wild is harpist/singer/songwriter Kate Wilde and multi-instrumentalist/singer/songwriter Christophe Sunhorse. Foot-operated percussion, the Celtic harp, rhythmic guitar, and sweetly soulful female + male vocals make up their unique, synergistic sound. Elements of classical, metal, flamenco, and folk run through their instrumentation, and their inspired lyricism calls for visceral notice of the beauty that surrounds us. A love for the earth lies majestically within each note and word.

5:45 PM ~ Firefly Walter
firefly

Firefly walks in many worlds, and through music bridges heart, mind, and spirit. Original compositions explore consciousness and transformation, fueled by passionate lyrics and folk-rock-pop influenced sounds. She has been exploring sound her entire life, from training in classical clarinet to self-taught guitar and piano, folk singing, campfire storytelling, contemporary folk music, devotional chanting, and group singing. She weaves in poetry and symbolism of the mystical path and the hero’s journey into a fresh synthesis of original compositions, spoken word performance pieces, inspirational speaking, sound healing, and workshop facilitation. Her favorite word to describe her creative expression is “prayer-formance”.

11:30 PM ~ Marya Stark
Marya-Stark

In the space between art and persona there is magic. Artists who work their craft for decades may find it on occasion. Marya Stark lives there. Drawing from influences as diverse as Baroque classical, Broadway, pop and folk, Marya crafts a sound that is wholly original. She creates the way she breathes; without choice or hesitation. With her most recent release, “Unstoppable Joy”, Marya embraces the joy of the universe as a palpable force to be enjoyed. Her recent award-winning album, The Garden, has a greater depth. Marya relates experiences of love lost and found, and of the rites of passage into adulthood.

The classical influenced art-pop sound Stark currently prefers makes perfect sense. She loves grand musical gestures and subtle symbolism, but it’s difficult to carve out a single niche for her. Marya loves to incorporate the audience right into the heart of the song through looping the audience’s voices, passing out props, and telling tall tales. She is a carrier of myth, mystery, and medicine songs with which she embarks to create a ceremony of the human condition, taking her audience on a journey through the caverns of the soul.
